A fantastically organised day was held at "Purbeck Shooting School" in the heart of Dorset on 22nd April and was attended by 20 teams of 4 shooters each team paying £1000.00 to enter!
Graham Stuart, Steve Mclafferty, Dean Hoyland, Jim Hoyland and Graham Brown of Purbeck Shooting were the main sponsors of the event and was organised in association with the "D of E" team headed by Victoria Hoggart.
Graham arranged a super course of 80 birds with a Driven flush and a Rabbit flush suitable for all levels of shooters and each team had a very fair chance of winning.
There was an after shooting dinner held at the Springfield Hotel in Wareham which also encompassed some serious fund raising through some wonderful pledged auction items and some quite harsh fines for the unwary!!
The event raised in excess of £40,000.00 what an eventful day and great spirit shown by all whom attended and especially by some of the bidders during the auction who were getting more and more generous as the drinking levels increased over the afternoon.
Well done to Graham Brown and his team for yet another successful event.
